El precio del iPhone 5, en proporción al PIB per cápita  de cada país

The iPhone 5S price index we’ve created shows the relationship between the price of the phone and the national GDP (PPP) per capita for all countries where it is available. The map below gives a quick glimpse into where the phone is the most expensive (or cheapest) for people based on their average GDP. China is currently the most expensive with the iPhone 5S price being 9.55% of the average GDP. Whereas the USA, Apple’s home country, is the cheapest, standing at just 1.15%.

Diving further into the detail, we also wanted to highlight the prices before and after sales tax in each country. Simply select through the tabs below to see this price in either US Dollars ($) or GB Pounds (£).

All the data we’ve collected is based on the most popular 16GB version of the 5S, with all prices coming directly from the local Apple stores for each country or a listed official supplier from the Apple site that were available on November 18th 2013. As the iPhone 5S is launched in more countries we’ll be updating our index to show just how the prices compare to the rest of the world.
